If expresso star is a group horse in a handicap [Lincoln] should we be putting large wads of money on it? March 30th, 2009
GROUP HORSE IN HANDICAP YES YES YES
WAD WAD WAD
hi m8,Sir Alan took the words right out of my mouth, thats the same example as i was going to use, well seen sir allan, and no you shouldn't wad on for two reasons, jaq's comments exactly, draw and gosden other horse, andbookies hyping up the chances, will result in a 3-1 5-2 fav in a SQUILLION horse race, minimum price 9-2 if you must, but 5-1 sounds right, placed money back.the least you can expect in a 32 runner or whatever it is race, cheers m8y scally.

With respect…Expresso Star isn't a Group horse yet, he is still a handicapper albeit a very good one…and I wouldn't put a penny on him until the draw is known in the next few days.
Also while all the hype has been about Expresso Star Gosdens other runner Charm School should not be ruled out, he ran a good 3rd in a Class 2 race end of last season and the longer distance will suit him.
Hang onto those large wads until further on in the season when the results are more predictable…Jac x

They said the same thing about Bankable in last year's Royal Hunt Cup and he still couldn't win it.
