Digger - Why Entered in a $20,000 Claiming Race? September 30th, 2008 | horse race handicapping | 5 Comments »

Does anyone know why Rick Dutrow entered Digger, a horse who has won a number of Stakes Races, in a $20,000 claiming race? Of course he got claimed. I thought perhaps there was something wrong physically with Digger, but he won that claiming race and then he just won a starter handicap at Saratoga last week. Any ideas as to what Mr. Dutrow was thinking?
And even if he wanted to get rid of the horse, he certainly could have gotten claimed for a higher price.

I never thought of Rick Dutrow as a very logical guy!

I have to wonder if it has something to do with where the horse was running before and if the rules were changing there. Digger was an IEAH horse and they’re going drug free. Maybe Dutrow knows something about Digger… maybe he can’t run without the drugs. He could have sold for a higher price, but if he needed to be sure to dump the horse quickly.

Maybe it was a clever plan to confuse the public into believing that Big Brown is a better horse than Curlin! ??

Honestly, I don’t know.

Anyone know how to beat the bookie? September 30th, 2008 | horse betting system | 19 Comments »

do you know any real good betting systems to win money at horses or greyhounds?

No such thing mate.

Come to Newmarket, take a look around in Ladbrokes etc… they barely have enough money to buy shoes. Each yard has a tip for the same race. It's a joke.

Don't be fooled with scams. Gamble responsibly.

What type of boots should I use on my horse for barrel racing?and other tack Questions? September 30th, 2008 | horse racing tip | 5 Comments »

Hey,
I was wondering what kind of boots should I use on my horse if I would barrel race her?

Do all barrel racers use a breast collar?

What kind of spurs do you use, if you use them?
-I am thinking of useing bumpers, or none.

Thanks

PS. As always, feel free to leave barrel racing tips.

It sounds like your coping everyone else,,
You need splint boots yes , But all the other boots depends on how he moves and if he is hitting him self somewhere,,
Go to a real trainer , P.S. Most people in barrels think they are one lol)
But go to a real trainer one that shows ,Show Horses Not just barrels
If you do not know about spurs do NOT USE THEM ,,,That question again sounds like your a beginner!

The less tack the better ,The more you learn the better , And going to a reing horse trainer the better for you and your horse

Take care good luck,

HORSE RACING — QUIDS IN — FANCY A NICE 20-1 THAT WILL LOVE THE GROUND TOMORROW ? September 29th, 2008 | horse race handicapping | 2 Comments »

hi all,WELL hope you all have been following the selections last 10 days you all should be loaded WE are 68 members.BACK to tomorrow,CRACKING E-W i think has a great chance to WIN. (HAWKIT 4-15 HAMILTON) He will love the conditions, the last time he won at C/D was the 15 Auguest last year of a mark of 81 inc penalty,he had to carry from winning his previous race he won at ayr of a mark of 64, SO he is actually a 1lb lower now than when he won his first out of two races this time last year.also he is running in a series final tomorrow, (SCOTTISH TROPHY SERIES HANDICAP FINAL) so folks there you have it my reconing is he is et least 10lb in on the best of last years form 16lb if you inc. the penalty he carried on his second victory. GOOD LOOK ALL. GRAB THE EARLY 20-1 IT WANT LAST FOR LONG. (pkscally@yahoo.co.uk) gaming club member
point taken loanshark,BUT regent secret was beaten 2 L of a mark of 62 over C/D same conditions, on july 12th. HAWKIT has won of 64 and 81 C/D this time last year same conditions,so that is why i thought he was better value than regents secret, and better at weights.good stuff though loanshark.

Hawkit sounds a good each way tomorrow (you certainly do your homework) in the 4.15 at Hamilton, and another I really like in that race is:-
Mark Johnstons filly - FEISTY ROYALE
(Royal Applause out of a Green Desert Mare)
Her best runs on Good// Good/Soft.

She was 2nd to topweight El Dececy at Hamilton on the Good/Soft on 12th July carrying 9-2 today she carries 8-2 a stone less and must have the beating of that one. Hawkit was 7th on that occasion.

Feisty Royale ran 2nd LTO in a class 4 fillies race on Good/Soft ground carrying 9-6. Obviously lighter here given weight for age only a 3yo running against older horses.

Good luck with your selection, have been following your tips and they are coming good, will definitely have a little each way.

EDIT: Wednesday 10.44
Henry Cecils …… PORTADORA 6.55 Folkestone tonight ..
looks a good bet at 9/4 based on her last run at Newmarket when she was 2nd to the useful Kalahari Gold on Good/Firm. She does handle soft going.

Hope the weather drys up for the remainder of the York meeting, According to Racing Post they are considering running the big races over the next few days and the weekend if necessary.
Good Luck to all.

WEDNESDAY 12.53 PM
HAMILTON ABANDONED along with the whole of the York Ebor Meeting…..I hope Portadora brings a little sunshine at Folkestone tonight….Jacqui

Can you put your Kentucky Derby picks in on Thursday? September 29th, 2008 | horse betting system | 4 Comments »

I cant make it to an OTB or Dog track on Fri or Sat to make my bets, so I was going to go Thursday night to put in my picks. Is that too early, or will the systems be set up to take those bets? I bet at Seabrook dog track, which has off track betting for horses kind of like any track does.

why not give seabrook a call (603-474-3065) this way you find out for sure.
